Application for the 2015 Frontier Nursing University Faculty Innovation Awards. Diane John won one of the awards. Her application describes a class activity in which students learn to investigate an outbreak through digital storytelling and gaming applications.
The purpose of the Faculty Innovation Awards is to promote critical thinking and application of knowledge in innovative online learning experiences. Applications are evaluated with respect to innovative use of evolving technology, promotion of critical thinking and application of knowledge, strong and positive student evaluation data, and the extent of potential effect on curricula, FNU, or professional practice.
